M.J.A.M.P, the artistic alias of Monica Justine Alabama Montana Pilson, represents a self-taught artist native to the Pacific Northwest. With a lifelong passion for art, Monica combines her love for photography with painting, using her photographs she takes during travels as inspiration for her work. As an artist, her artistic expression doubles as a coping mechanism for chronic pain resulting from an autoimmune condition that affects the extremities. Through painting, Monica finds solace and a temporary reprieve from her physical and emotional struggles. Each piece created by Monica carries a profound meaning, reflecting her personal growth and struggles. Monica aims to produce art that evokes positive emotions, inspires her audience, and offers a sense of serenity, mirroring the impact art has had on her life. Her artistic career has garnered international recognition, with private collections and commissioned works.
